Dolphins Rooting Guide for Week 10

No matter what happens this weekend, Miami will still be first place in the AFC East. With that said, there are a few key games that can help Miami in the long term maintain their standing and help them get a favorable playoff opponent in the first round.

Colts @ Patriots (Germany)

What impact does this have on the Dolphins? Literally nothing. But, as someone who would love to see New England not end up with Caleb Williams, Marvin Harrison, or Drake Maye, we should pull for New England to get a couple wins here or there to take themselves out of that range.

Jets @ Raiders

The Jets loss to Los Angeles on Monday night makes this less important (as the Jets would have been playing this game to tie Miami in 1st) but nevertheless this is an important game to check in on. A Jets loss would leave them at 4-5 on the season making it hard for them to make the playoffs in a stacked AFC conference. Now with that said, the Dolphins game against the Jets on Black Friday is going to be very important but we will save that for the week 12 preview.

Broncos @ Bills

Anytime the Bills lose we should get excited. If Miami wants to win the AFC East and host a playoff game we need Buffalo to keep losing games. A loss to Denver would 1) Move them to 5-5, and 2) Be funny because Miami dropped 70 on Denver (which feels like forever ago). What makes this even more important is the fact that the Bills still have to play @ Philly, @ KC, @ Chargers, vs Dallas, and @ Miami. Buffalo can't afford to lose many more games if they want week 18 to be a match up for the AFC East.

Browns @ Ravens

If Miami wants to be the 1, 2, or 3 seed this year, Miami is going to need to have Baltimore take a few losses and beat them in week 17. In an ideal world, if you are not the 1 or 2 seed you are the 3 seed with Jacksonville getting the two seed so you stay in Florida for the first two weeks of the playoffs (I know I know, long time to go and you have to win on Wildcard Weekend). But like I said, we need Baltimore to take a few losses here or there.

49ers @ Jaguars

This may seem like an odd choice but the Jaguars are sneakily 6-2 with a fairly easy schedule remaining this year. This is solely for potential seeding. Any losses the Jaguars can take can help Miami in the long run with hosting more potential playoff games.
